Enter trim, bleed, and safe margin
Bleed and safe-zone result
The formula is full bleed = trim + bleed × 2. The safe zone is trim - safe margin × 2. Important text, logos, faces, and QR codes should remain inside the safe-zone rectangle.
Common use
For many print products, 0.125 in bleed and 0.25 in safe margin are practical starting values. Packaging, wide-format posters, and marketplace templates may require different values, so always match the printer template before exporting final artwork.
Sources, formulas, and limits
These calculators use standard print formulas: physical size × PPI for pixels, pixels ÷ physical size for effective PPI, and trim size plus bleed on every outside edge for full-bleed artwork. Marketplace specifications can change, so use official upload previews as the final check before publishing or printing.
